On the basis of studing the experience of regularities of the village-to-town migration, there is made an attempt to reveal both regional and social aspects of the problem, specially, correlations between linguistic and ethnic consolidation under conditions of urbanization. In 1979 the highest migrational mobility was shown by Kazakhs and Kirghis. This is mainly due to the accelerated urbanization and the higher birth rate. It will lead to the increase of the share of immigrant nationalities in the region in proportion to the natural trend. Concrete analysis of representative statistical and ethnosociological materials shows that the dynamics of the urban-rural proportions of the population, as well as certain features of its socio-cultural life, are affected by ethnic specifity. Further socialeconomic progress will promote on the one hand in the intensity of population exchange between town and village, on the other hand decrease of the ethnic specific features especially pronounced in the cultural sphere of the way of life and the native language. Of great interest is the interaction between ethnic processes and bilingualism. The article shows that the national aspects in bilingualism combine with the process of assimilation. Each ethnic group assimilates in some respects and has certain patterns of bilingualism, linguistic behavior or customs."}, pages = {53--62}, title = {エスニシティと文化 : 都市化における人口移動と民族文化の過程}, volume = {35}, year = {1989} }
