The \"Postpartum Care Program\" is a measure in the field of maternal and child health care, and is attracting attention as a form of first-step support from childbirth （birth of the child） to child rearing and education. Although municipalities are responsible for implementation of this service and are obliged to make efforts to implement it, it is positioned in the Children's Future Strategy Policy（ approved by the Cabinet on June 13, 2023） as part of \"measures to address the declining birthrate in different dimensions,\" and is moving toward universalization, targeting all who need it, rather than the limited intervention support provided in the past.
