According to the previous study on The Corpus of Early English Correspondence(Nurumi[1999]), women showed higher percentages of the new form(the do+inf. form) in the 17th century, thus leading the development of do. Our new research on the women’s fictional texts, however, demonstrates that two out of the three texts(i.e., except for The Blazing World) display lower percentages of the do+inf. form than those of men. We cannot, then, conclude that women of the period preferred the new form and took a leading role in its development. This finding suggests the importance of the integrated consideration of genre, style, and gender in discussing the auxiliary do in Early Modern English.","subitem_description_language":"en","subitem_description_type":"Abstract"},{"subitem_description":"本稿は、女性作家のフィクション作品における否定平叙文中の助動詞doに焦点を当て、初期近代英語期の助動詞doの発達をジェンダーの観点から考察するものである。調査対象はLady Mary WrothのUrania(1621)、Anna WeamysのA Continuation of Sir Philip Sydney’s Arcadia(1651)、Margaret CavendishのThe Blazing World(1666)である。初期近代英語期の書簡コーパスを調査した先行研究(Nurumi[1999])によれば、17世紀には女性の方が新しい形式(助動詞doを用いた否定)を好み、この助動詞の発達をリードした。だが、女性のフィクションを対象とする今回の調査では、三作品中、The Blazing Worldを除く二作において、助動詞doの出現頻度が男性と比較して低いことが判明した。それゆえ、この時代に女性の方が新用法を好み、助動詞doの発達をリードしたとまでは言えない。以上の調査結果から示唆されるのは、初期近代英語期における助動詞doを議論する際には、ジャンルと文体とジェンダーを統合的に考察することが重要だという点である。","subitem_description_language":"ja","subitem_description_type":"Abstract"}]},"item_10002_publisher_8":{"attribute_name":"出版者","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_publisher":"名古屋女子大学","subitem_publisher_language":"ja"},{"subitem_publisher":"Nagoya Women's University","subitem_publisher_language":"en"}]},"item_10002_source_id_9":{"attribute_name":"ISSN","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_source_identifier":"24368830","subitem_source_identifier_type":"ISSN"}]},"item_creator":{"attribute_name":"著者","attribute_type":"creator","attribute_value_mlt":[{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"Sakura, KAWAZOE","creatorNameLang":"en"}]}]},"item_files":{"attribute_name":"ファイル情報","attribute_type":"file","attribute_value_mlt":[{"accessrole":"open_access","date":[{"dateType":"Available","dateValue":"2024-07-02"}],"displaytype":"detail","filename":"kiyo70_141-154.pdf","filesize":[{"value":"300 KB"}],"format":"application/pdf","licensetype":"license_11","url":{"url":"https://nagoya-wu.repo.nii.ac.jp/record/2000026/files/kiyo70_141-154.pdf"},"version_id":"d101de76-a608-41fe-abee-a0f633acd89f"}]},"item_keyword":{"attribute_name":"キーワード","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_subject":"The Auxiliary Do","subitem_subject_language":"en","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"},{"subitem_subject":"Early Modern English","subitem_subject_language":"en","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"},{"subitem_subject":"Gender","subitem_subject_language":"en","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"}]},"item_language":{"attribute_name":"言語","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_language":"eng"}]},"item_resource_type":{"attribute_name":"資源タイプ","attribute_value_mlt":[{"resourcetype":"departmental bulletin paper","resourceuri":"http://purl.org/coar/resource_type/c_6501"}]},"item_title":"The Auxiliary Do in Negative Declarative Sentences in Early Modern Women's Fictional Texts","item_titles":{"attribute_name":"タイトル","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_title":"The Auxiliary Do in Negative Declarative Sentences in Early Modern Women's Fictional Texts","subitem_title_language":"en"}]},"item_type_id":"10002","owner":"14","path":["1718934816370"],"pubdate":{"attribute_name":"PubDate","attribute_value":"2024-07-02"},"publish_date":"2024-07-02","publish_status":"0","recid":"2000026","relation_version_is_last":true,"title":["The Auxiliary Do in Negative Declarative Sentences in Early Modern Women's Fictional Texts"],"weko_creator_id":"14","weko_shared_id":-1},"updated":"2024-07-01T05:50:53.224753+00:00"}
