An experiment was conducted using two baby-dummies of different sizes. The subjects were 40 female students. They practiced fitting and adjusting two types of baby carriers using the dummies. One of the carriers was used for carrying the smaller dummy on the chest, and the other was used for carrying the bigger dummy either on the chest or piggyback. The subjects were instructed to stand in front of cameras according to the following order : (1) without carrying anything, (2) carrying the smaller dummy on the chest, (3) carrying the bigger dummy on the chest, (4) carrying the bigger dummy on the back. The subjects stood leaning forward slightly when they had nothing on the chest or on the back. They showed a tendency to lean forward in the case of piggyback style. However, the body leaned backward when the subjects stood carrying each dummy on the chest with the carrier. The difference of lumbar flexion in each position was not large ; however, the neck flexion differed a little according to the position. Compared with the standing posture without carrying anything, the neck flexion angle in the case of piggyback style was slightly larger, and that in the case of carrying either the smaller or the bigger dummy on the chest was somewhat smaller. In both cases, carrying the bigger dummy on the chest and piggyback, the lumbar flexion and the neck flexion were closely related to each other. The degree of the neck flexion seems to depend on that of the lumbar flexion."}, pages = {1--12}, title = {乳児運搬具を用いた抱っこの姿勢について}, volume = {44}, year = {1998} }
