Growth during the feeding period, hepatic and blood lipid parameters, blood glucose, ALT, and AST were investigated. Final body weight, total food intake, blood lipid, glucose and ALT in the PBB group did not differ markedly from the control group. However, blood AST in the PBB group was significantly lower than in the control group. Hepatic cholesterol and triacylglycerol were also significantly lower in the PBB group than in the control group.
