| 内容記述 | "Shoeki Ando is the first Japanese philosopher who was introduced to the West, as ""a forgotten philosopher"" by E. Herbert Norman and whose thought has been highly estimated since. His works are very voluminous and an entire sketch of them has not been attempted yet. The purpose of this article is to study his creative and unique idea that is found in ""Taijokan"" and ""The 25th Shindo Tetsuron"" contained in his book, Shizen Shineido. First, I attempt to summarize the contents of those two articles and to trace the development of his thought. I emphasize that his idea is based on physiocracy and his philosophical method is dialectic. Secondly, I classify and arrange his several articles which deal with such basic ideas as (1) Feudalism (2) Confucian scholarship (3) Buddhism (4) Shintoism (5) Taoism (6) medicine, etc. He severely criticized these concepts. I add my criticism on his view of them. Furthermore, I comment that his philosophy is also criticized by such scholars as Dr. Ienaga and Prof. Miyagi as being too peculiar and unique. I conclude my article by describing the modern meaning of his thought." | |||||||
