| 内容記述 | Motherese is also known as infant-directed speech（IDS） and is a way of talking to infants that seems to be naturally occurring. There are three main characteristics of IDS: （1） speaking in a higher pitch than normal,（ 2） speaking more slowly than normal and（3） using greater intonations than normal. This is a universal phenomenon that can be observed in the interactions with infants by individuals, families or groups of people regardless of the language they speak. Songs directed at infants, such as lullabies, may be greater expressions of the characteristics of motherese. This study examined these expressions in a Danish setting for parents and infants called the Baby’s Hymn Programme（Babysalmesang）. Through observations, interviews and discussions with mothers in the programme, this study confirms that this type of communication in early childhood development has a positive impact not only on the infant; however, it may be the beginning of how the oral traditions of a culture are passed on from generation to generation. |
